CLUB TRANMERE
Our Foundation Day was on the 31 January 1925, as the Tranmere Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club.
We cater for bowlers and tennis players of all standards and ages. Our members and visitors enjoy some of the best competition and social playing facilities in South Australia.

BOWLS
Tranmere Bowling Club offers many ways to enjoy the game of bowls, with a full calendar of bowling activities throughout the year. From Social Bowls and Night Owls to competitive Pennant Bowls, annual Tournaments and Winter Bowls, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re an experienced bowler or completely new to the sport.
Our Club boasts two and a half high-quality artificial greens, complemented by cooling, sun-smart retractable shade covers and full lighting for evening competition, practice and social bowls. Tranmere is a friendly and active community supported by enthusiastic bowlers and dedicated volunteers.
New members are always welcome and we invite you to come along, have a bowl, meet our members and discover what makes Tranmere Bowling Club such a great place.
TENNIS
We are always looking for new Tennis players to come to Club Tranmere and play on some of the best grass courts in Adelaide. We have many teams in the Saturday Men’s competition, including four of them in the 1st Division. On Thursdays we have five women’s teams in competition. Throughout the summer months we also run our own women’s social competition on Tuesdays, that is open for members and visitors to enter.
VENUE HIRE INFORMATION
Club Tranmere is available for hire for all your “special occasion” celebrations as well as corporate or work function.
A great venue to give your business employees time out together socially. Play a game of bowls, tennis or both with your work mates. We will organise the event for you.
We can cater for up to 120 guests with a fully equipped modern kitchen with turbo ovens, dish washer, crockery and assorted cooking utensils also a modern attractive bar with a good selection of popular wines, beers and assorted drinks.
